  My 78 year old mother has been complaining of stomach pain for over a year and suggested it may be her gallbladder, since other family members have had similar pain and had their gall bladders removed. The doctor wrote it off as "don't always believe what your family says." She diagnosed it as ulcers and gave my mother antacids for over a year. My mother's pain increased and she found no relief in antacids. My mother changed her diet on her own. My mother once again asked the doctor, "can it be my gallbladder, the pain is terrible? " The doctor insisted " no, continue on antacids." This past week she was rushed to ER with crippling pain...she just could not take the pain any longer (she has a very high thresholds for pain). It turns out, indeed it was her gallbladder and it was in the advanced stages and had to be removed immediately after treating the inflammation. The Surgeon post procedure stated, "the gallbladder was ugly and extremly inflamned. The difference, the wonderful ER Dr Lim listen to my mother and ordered an ultrasound, which showed....you guessed it, Cholecystitis which is inflammation of the gallbladder, and called the surgeon for immediate removal. This had been the root of her problem all along. Post surgery she is feeling great! No more pain!! She is crying from joy. In addition, my mother in the past had asked Dr Buchanan for a Lyme test since she was diagnosed with Lymes disease in NY. The doctor gave her a lupus test instead. This doctor is scary. Stay away. My mother is finding a new home with a doctor that listen's to their clients. My mother is extremely happy now.
